UK Cruise Pricing Data, Research & Media Resources
CruisePriceSpy tracks thousands of cruise prices every day,
helping UK cruisers compare genuine value, identify price
movements and understand what a cruise really costs.
What is CruisePriceSpy?
CruisePriceSpy is a free UK cruise comparison, price-tracking
and deal-checking website created to make cruise pricing easier
to understand.
CruisePriceSpy helps cruisers Find, Check and Watch.
Find cruises and compare them using Price Per Person Per Night
(PPPN), check whether a cruise quote represents good value,
and watch cruise prices for meaningful changes and reductions.
Find
Search live cruise prices and compare cruises fairly using
Price Per Person Per Night rather than headline price alone.
Check
CruisePriceSpy’s Deal Checker assesses cruise quotes,
including the value of relevant perks, and compares the
resulting PPPN with tracked pricing.
Watch
CruisePriceSpy checks historical prices daily and helps
users identify when cruises they are interested in fall
in price.
Who are Steve & Gill?
CruisePriceSpy was founded by Steve and Gill Houghton,
two long-time UK cruisers who wanted a simpler way to
compare cruise prices.
Steve and Gill first met aboard P&O’s SS Canberra in
1975 and have been cruising together ever since.
After years of comparing cruises across multiple websites,
Steve became frustrated by the difficulty of determining
which sailing actually represented the best value.
CruisePriceSpy grew from a price tracker originally built
for their own use.
A central part of the system is
Price Per Person Per Night (PPPN),
which makes cruises of very different lengths easier to
compare on a consistent basis.
What data does CruisePriceSpy track?
CruisePriceSpy records daily cruise pricing data across
thousands of active sailings and multiple cabin categories.
Current fares
Current cruise prices covering thousands of active sailings
across 16 cruise lines.
Historical prices
Daily price snapshots are retained so today’s fare can be
compared with previously recorded pricing.
PPPN
Cruise fares are converted to Price Per Person Per Night
to allow fairer comparison between cruises of different
durations.
Cabin categories
Where available, price movements are recorded across
different cabin types rather than treating a cruise as
having a single price.
Price movements
CruisePriceSpy tracks both increases and reductions and
compares the latest recorded fare with earlier prices.
Deal value
Cruise quotes can be assessed against tracked market prices,
PPPN and the financial value of relevant extras or perks.
